Challenge: Designing a lovely, functional backyard on this new-construction blank sheet.
Solved: Everything about this crisp, brilliant white home, speaks to elegance, order, and purpose. We centered the pool off the sliding doors to create a dramatic presentation from the rear of the home, with the broad expanse of water surface showcased from the large windows.
Rather than bisecting the yard, limiting its utility as a play and practice space for this sport-loving, active young family, we maintained a significant turfed play area off to one side to serve double duty as a flex entertainment space for larger backyard parties.
The pure turquoise tile cladding of the hot tub surround combines with the bright green artificial turf, white pool lounge chairs, and natural accents to make this a striking, yet eminently practical, outdoor space with ample choose-your-own-adventure lounging, play, cooking, dining, and seating, and entertaining space.
