Can an out-of-date pool be brought up to date to grace an Austin Hill Country-inspired Mid-Century Modern backyard redesign?
Solution
The setting for this dramatic transformation was Preston Hollow where, in partnership with DDLA landscaping, the entire exterior was given a full refresh/redesign. A traditional Southwest Texas landscape palette dots the fence line and patio area, complementing the updated pool to create a hill country vibe that seamlessly flows around the entire home.
The pool’s classic, curved outline tied nicely to the mid-century feel. By tastefully updating the plaster, lights, and tile—the pool became a functional work of art. The addition of turf and simplified hard space gave the owners an ideal atmosphere for entertaining adults and children in a truly unique and fun space.
