AMHERST LANE
Challenge: Create a “low maintenance” backyard landscape and a comfortable place to drink a glass of wine, while also creating a visually pleasing backyard that complements the architecture of the home.
Solved: We maximized the existing patio space by adding a fireplace, buffet bar, ceiling patio heaters, and sliding glass doors. Our goal was to create a plan that allowed the client to open up the living room doors making the outside patio feel like a natural extension of the indoor living space.
To create a truly “low maintenance” landscape package, the back- and side yards are 80% artificial turf.
A strategically planted flower bed serves as a lovely backdrop to the pool, graced with chic southwest Dallas plant selections.
To deliver on the promise of a “comfortable place to enjoy a glass of wine,” the left side of the yard steps down 18″ to an intimate fire-pit area providing a dramatic grand reveal of the signature acrylic panel.
